In de tentoonstelling La Luna Piena zijn foto’s, installaties en films van Rotterdamse kunstenaars, architecten en fotografen te zien. De stad wordt het projectiescherm voor intense verlangens en melancholie. Het is niet de particuliere locatie die getoond wordt maar de potentie van de stad om verbeelding op te roepen. Zoals een vertrouwde omgeving in het ijle licht van de volle maan - La Luna Piena - plots een onbekende stad lijkt.
In La Luna Piena presenteren Awoiska van der Molen en Jan Adriaans (nieuw) fotowerk. In de monumentale installatie La Primavera van Tonio de Roover worden plastic objecten en voorwerpen uit ons dagelijks leven gebruikt en krijgt de omgeving het karakter van een verlaten filmset waarbij de objecten de rekwisieten zijn.
Van Aleksander Komarov wordt de filminstallatie On Translation: Transparency / Architecture acoustique in een Nederlandse premiere gepresenteerd. De ontwerpen van Stereo Architects laten zich leiden door de bestaande stedelijke context. Het architectenbureau Monadnock verkent de stad als een landschap waarin de elementen met verschillende snelheden veranderen.

The exhibition La Luna Piena presents photos, installations and films by Rotterdam-based artists, architects and photographers. The city becomes a projection screen for intense desires and melancholy. It is not the particular location, but rather the city’s potential to fire the imagination that is presented. As a familiar environment that suddenly seems like an unknown city in the faint glare of the full moon - La Luna Piena.
In La Luna Piena, Awoiska van der Molen and Jan Adriaans present (new) photographic work. In the monumental installation La Primavera, Tonio de Roover uses plastic objects and items from everyday life and the installation acquires the character of a deserted film set in which the objects are props.
Aleksander Komarov presents the Dutch premiere of his film installation On Translation: Transparency / Architecture acoustique. The designs of Stereo Architects are influenced by the existing urban context, while the firm of architects Monadnock explore the city as a landscape, the elements of which are changing at different rates.
